Israel’s representative told the United Nations General Assembly:

“My Government continues to uphold the vision of the Middle East at peace with itself, uniting the efforts of its two kindred peoples to heal the wounds of aggressive violence and reawaken the rich potentialities of the region for political, economic and cultural progress.”
