Figurine Mold

A mold for a figurine, probably a goddess worshiped at this shrine, found in Nahariya by Moshe Dothan excavation. She is naked—tall and slim, quite different from opulent fertility figures found elsewhere—and she wears a horned headdress.

“A Jerusalem Celebration—Of Temples and Bamot,” BAR Sep 1977.

Also Is the Cultic Installation at Dan Really an Olive Press? Suzanne F. Singer, BAR 10-06, Nov-Dec 1984.
