February 27, 1980 National Authority for Aliyah and absorption

The Coordinating Commission, a joint body of the Israeli government and the Jewish Agency, approves the establishment of a national authority for Aliyah and absorption, and finally puts and end to the prolonged quarrel between the government absorption office and the Jewish Agency.
