January 24, 1955 Egyptian Aggressive Acts Against Israel

“The Commission:

Finds that…an Egyptian military patrol,…commanded by an officer, attacked an Israeli post in Israel, manned by three Israeli soldiers,…killing one and wounding the other two…;

Notes that the Armistice demarcation line was clearly marked near the place of the attack;

Decides that this aggressive action carried out by the above-mentioned unit of the Egyptian Army commanded by an officer is a flagrant violation of Article II, para. 2 of the General Armistice Agreement by Egypt;

Notes with extremely grave concern this aggressive action, and

Calls upon the Egyptian authorities to terminate these aggressive acts against Israel.”
