December 24, 1993 Murder in Gaza

Lieut.Col. Meir Mintz, commander of the IDF Special Forces in the Gaza area, was shot and killed by terrorists in an ambush on his jeep at the T-junction in Gaza.

The HAMAS Iz a-Din al Kassam squads publicly claimed responsibility for the attack.
