April 23, 2002 Attempted suicide attack in Nitzarim

Murder

Three Arab students, ages twelve, thirteen, and fourteen, were killed while trying to infiltrate the town of Nitzarim in order to precipitate a suicide attack. They each left a will emphasizing their wish to die as martyrs. The three dead youths are now held up as examples of martyrs. A fourteen-year-old was killed while trying to enter an Israeli outpost carrying two pipe bombs. A sixteen-year-old was killed as he threw a hand grenade at Israeli soldiers.
