1937 Sigmund Freud
In 1937, Freud published his book “Moses, his people, and monotheistic religion.
The original draft is in the Library of Congress and it is “different in significant ways from the published version” Also the original unpublished introduction concludes with:
“My immediate purpose was to gain knowledge of the person Moses, may more distant goal to contribute thereby to the solution of a problem (e.g. Nazi Persecution of Jews), still current today”
