Secretary General Trygve Lie“Secretary General Trygve Lie has refused to transmit to all fifty five nations a protest letter from the Jewish Agency for Palestine that criticizes his action in circulating to all the United Nations Governments an earlier British request asking all nations to discourage ‘illegal immigration’ to Palestine.

The note, it was pointed out, hold that continued unlawful immigration violates the laws of the recognized government and is conductive to unrest and violence.”
