Edomite Seal, 7th-6th century BCE

Edomite Seal “Belonging to msŒkt son of vh\zm.” It was discovered in 1990 at ‘En Hatzeva. Although not found among the crushed cultic objects in the pit, this seal, showing two robed figures on either side of an altar, may have belonged to an Edomite priest- One figure (on the right)—perhaps the priest—appears to be making a blessing, the other to be making an offering.
