“A police report said 500 Arabs in khaki uniforms had attacked a Jewish truck convoy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv near Bab el Wad, had burned two trucks and had killed at least one Jew. Jewish sources said two Jews had been injured in another convoy that had got through to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv”
