Spanish-Jewish Poet Al Harizi

According to the testimony of Al Harizi, who visited Jerusalem in 1216, Saladin issued a proclamation inviting the Jews to return to Jerusalem. Despite the insecurity and continual warfare, a large number of Jews immigrated from Egypt, Mesopotamia, Syria, Southern Europe and even France and England.
