July 13, 1948 Villages Near Lydda Recaptured by Israeli Troops

“Israeli troops today recaptured Deir Tarif and Beit Naballa, three miles northeast of Lydda town.  The Arabs had taken these villages Sunday evening.  There were stiff fights at both places, dispatches said, with both sides using tanks and armored cars.”
