HAIFA, Israel, June 21 (AP)-Israeli port workers charged tonight that British police, on leaving Palestine, had desecrated the flag of Israel . The last British police in Haifa left for Britain on the liner Empress of Australia with nearly 1,000 soldiers and a few civilians. The workers said that the police had spread a Star of David flag over the ship’s gangway and stepped on it as they boarded the vessel.
