Isaiah 1-17

Isaiah 1-26

Isaiah 2-2-5

Isaiah 3-18-23

And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten- as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves- so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof” (call of Isaiah)

Isaiah 6-3-13

Isaiah 9-6

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain- for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (The coming of the virtuous king)

Isaiah 11-1-9

• “Thou art cast out from thy sepulcher like an abhorred abortion, like those who are pierced with the sword; thou goest down to the lowest pit like the corpse that is trodden under foot” (fall from power)

Isaiah 14-19

• “In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the Lord at its border. It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them”

Isaiah 41-1-7

Isaiah 43-10-11

• “This is what the Lord says- Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty- I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Isaiah 44-6-9

Isaiah 53-3-5

And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established- thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear- and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me- whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” (new Jerusalem)

Isaiah 54-11-17

• “Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer- their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him” (God welcomes converts from Paganism)

Isaiah 56-6-8

• “Blind they are, without knowledge; dumb dogs that cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber; yea, greedy dogs, that can never have enough” (corrupt religious leaders)

Isaiah 56-10-11

• “For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him- I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. I have seen his ways, and will heal him- I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked”

Isaiah 57-17-21

• “Is not this the fast I have chosen- to loosen the bonds of wickedness and undo the cords of violence; to let the oppressed go free, and every yoke to snap? To break for the hungry thy bread, and the homeless to bring to thy house; when thou seest the naked, to cover him, and to hide not thyself from thy flesh?” (What use were the fasts if you are still sinning?)

Isaiah 58-6-7

• “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth” (Christians to speak out for Zion’s sake)

Isaiah 62-1

• “I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night- ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence” (Christians to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem)

And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me- for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh” (eschatological discourse)
