March 1921 Palestine Executive Committee to Churchill

The shame of Winston Churchill

achurch001p1

In a memorandum submitted to Winston Churchill (e.g. Secretary of State for the Colonies) during his visit to Cairo, the Palestine Executive Committee outlined their demands for self-determination and self-rule by an elected government of pre-World War I residents of Palestine, as well as:

  • The dismissal of the policy concerning the Jewish national home.
  • A complete stop to Jewish immigration.
  • Re-instituting the old system of laws and government (pre-World War I) until a new Arab one was established.
  • No political or otherwise discernible distinctions between Palestine and other Arab countries.
