The kabbalists, like others, have struggled with the question of evil, and how we are to understand both moral and natural evils in the world. At some point there begins to develop a rather unique approach to this old problem, and the kabbalists understand evil to be an aspect of the Divine, that attains some kind of independent status from the Divine.
