Ahmed Shukairy Head of PLO declared at a press conference:

“The Palestine Liberation Organization, in its revolutionary will to liberate the lost homeland, rejects President Bourguiba’s proposals in general and in detail, and declares that there is only one solution to the Palestine problem: the Arabism of Palestine without partition, without internationalization, and without the settlement of the refugees…The first and last goal has been: the liberation of Palestine and its restoration to its legal owners.”
