Many San Francisco Jews gathered last night at Temple Beth Israel to consider a call by the Synagogue Council of America to protest the United State’s reversal on the Palestine issue.
The council represents Orthodox, Conservative and Reform Jews and Rabbinical and Congregational bodies throughout the United States.
Rabbi Morris Goldstein gave the invocation and a statement of “resolve” was presented by Cantor Reuben Rinder, secretary of the Northern California Board of Rabbis.
Rabbi Saul White of Congregation Beth Sholom was chief speaker at the service called to protest what the New York Board of Rabbis called “a cruel blow to the hopes of the Jewish people.”
