Mosaic inscription in Greek from the Armenian monastery north of the Damascus Gate, Jerusalem, late 6th-early 7th century- “In the days of Silvanus, the god-beloved deacon and abbot, the present [mosaic inlay] was done and the apse and annex of the church, of…[cubits length] and of six cubits height. Remember me O Lord in Thy Kingdom.”
