Crusader Fortress, 12th century

Crusader_Fortress_window_1200_(511276745)The remains of a Crusader Fortress in Tiberias were discovered in 2003 during excavations carried out in wake of a plan to develop the Old City of Tiberias. The fortress is well attested to in historical sources by Saladin’s conquest in 1187.
