Coin of Brutus, 44-42 BCE

Marcus Junius Brutus was born in 85 BCE and died in 42 BCE. He was a Roman politician, murderer of Gaius Julius Caesar and one of the last defenders of the republic. He committed suicide after he and Cassius were defeated by Octavian and Mark Antony at Philippi.
