HaganahJERUSALEM, April 7 (UP)-Arab artillery pounded the Jewish strongpoint of Mishmar Haemek from dawn to dusk for the third straight day today as Jewish Haganah reinforcements evacuated 300 children under heavy Arab rifle fire.

The children were moved to Affuleh, six miles to the southeast in two convoys of Haganah armored cars, escorted by British armored cars.

A school and several other buildings were wrecked by today’s shelling of the embattled town, fifteen miles southeast of Haifa in a sector dotted with Arab strongholds.
