An Egyptian army post fired on an Israeli patrol which was approaching a large group of infiltrators who were plundering the harvest in the region of Nir Yitzchak.

Egyptian troops opened fire with automatic rifles and 3 inch mortars.  On March 7, 1955, Egypt was condemned for this violation.
