Where Explosion Ripped Jewish District, Associated Press, Feb. 24, 1948.

(NY10-Feb.22) — Map locates scene of explosion (blast symbol) which shattered the heart of the Jewish business district on Ben-Yehuda Street in Jerusalem today. Two truckloads of explosives ripped apart two small hotels, three apartment buildings and scores of shops in two blocks. Thirty-five persons were killed. Windows were broken in U.S. consulate a half mile distant. Explosion was heard in Bethlehem, six miles away.
