Bronze Soldier from Megiddo

The Israelite conquerors encountered fierce resistance from the Canaanites at the city of Megiddo. This bronze statue, unearthed there, symbolizes the fighting spirit of the defenders. The man is armed with a typical scimitar-shaped sword and rectangular shield.
