September 13, 1954 The Mixed Armistice Commission

The Mixed Armistice Commission adopted a resolution of which the penultimate paragraph reads:

“The Mixed Armistice Commission

“Decides that this aggressive hostile and sabotage act against Israel is a flagrant breach of Article II, para. 2 of the General Armistice Agreement by Egypt;

“Calls upon Egypt to take measures to stop these attacks across the international frontier.”

“Notes the existing serious situation along the demarcation line between Egypt and Israel…and condemns Egypt for the above act and calls on the Egyptian authorities to take immediate steps to stop at once such or other violations of the General Armistice Agreement.”
