March 9, 1948 Volunteers Invited to Join Arab Forces in Haifa Region
On March 9, 1948, an advertisement appeared in Al Urduni Amman daily:
“ Mohammed Bay el Hamad, Commander of the Haifa region announces that he is prepared to accept volunteers of all ranks who have previously served in the Arab Legion or the Transjordan Frontier Force. The registration of such volunteers will take place in Haifa.”
