Militants say Abbas failed Palestinians

Hamas leaders broke off cease-fire talks Friday with Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas of the governing Palestinian Authority, saying that he had failed the Palestinian people at a summit meeting with Israel by demanding an end to the armed uprising and expressing compassion for Jewish suffering.
