Lake success, N.Y., Jan. 14 The Arab League will offer its good offices to the governments of India and Pakistan to mediate their dispute over the Princely State of Kashmir, according to advises received from Damascus by the Syrian delegates to the United Nations.

As Pakistan is a Muslim state, and since its creation on August 15, 1947, has been in close sympathy with the Arab League, it was not considered likely that the Indian Government would accept the League as an impartial mediator.
