February 1942 The Shame of Winston Churchill

Churchill pointed out that up to the time that the decision to deport “illegal Jewish refugees” on-board the Darien refugees had been taken:

“It looked as if we should be subjected to a wave of illegal immigration, but now that the whole of south eastern Europe is in German hands, there is no further danger of this. ”
