“Egypt Bars Homes to Arab Refugees”
Declares They Belong Back in Palestine—Lebanon, Iraq Said to Hold Same View
CAIRO, Feb. 15—The United Nations Palestine Conciliation Commission has raised the question here of whether the Arab countries would be willing to give permanent homes to Arab refugees from Palestine. Egypt’s reply to the inquiry was a declaration that where the refugees belong is back in their own homes, with adequate guarantees of security and equality.
