August 9, 2005 Defiance of Hate Cleric

Extremist Islamic preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed today defiantly said he would never report a Muslim planning a crime to the police.  His comments came after he fled the country (England) while facing the possibility of being charged with treason.

The Syrian-born “Tottenham Ayatollah” surfaced in Beirut after slipping out of the country undetected a day after Tony Blair announced plans to crack down on extremists.  He said:

“I will never report to the police any Muslim because Islam forbids me to report a Muslim to the British police.  I believe Islam is superior and nothing supersedes it but we can live with you in harmony.”
