Radio Damascus:

“We declare that we are moving ahead with our preparation to launch a popular liberation campaign, and we shall not withdraw therefore despite all difficulties.  For we know that by so doing we are carrying out the will of the Arab people and the Arab public, be the sacrifices what they may.”
