August 22, 1929 Hope-Simpson Proposes Halting Jewish Aliyah

Hope-Simpson publishes his conclusions. He proposes halting Jewish Aliyah and the establishment of any additional Jewish settlements. There is disappointment in the Jewish-Zionist camp at the British change of heart regarding its commitments in the Balfour Declaration.
