April 24, 1948 Attacks in Haifa Started by Arabs

Sir Alan CunninghamFrom Jerusalem, Sir Allan Cunningham, British High Commissioner, informed the British Foreign Office that the attacks (e.g. in Haifa) had been started by the Arabs and that the charges of massacre were untrue, The exoneration of the Haganah by the British represented the first such action in recent disturbances in Palestine.
