New York, Aug. 14.-(AP)-An official of the Arab Higher Committee in Palestine asserted today that the Arabs “may throw themselves into the laps of the Russians if America continues to support the pretensions of the Zionists” in the Holy Land.

Jamal Husseini, vice president of the committee and a representative of that group before the United Nations, made the statement as he left by plane for Damascus, where he will confer with Arab leaders prior to the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in Paris next month.

Husseini said that “I expect the war will recommence” in Palestine.
