Relief of Cleopatra and Caesarion

Cleopatra and her son Caesarion (also called Ptolemy XV) from the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, Egypt. Caesarion, apparently Julius Caesar’s son, was the last ruler of the Ptolemaic Dynasty in Egypt. He ruled as a child together with his mother Cleopatra. At the age of seventeen, he was murdered by Octavian (later the emperor Augustus).
