Nabonidus Cylinder

The Nabonidus Cylinder from Sippar is a foundation text in which king Nabonidus of Babylonia (556-539) describes how he carefully repaired three temples. It names Belshazzar (Daniel 5-29-30) as son of Babylonian King Nabonidus. The Nabonidus Cylinder is currently on display at the British Museum.
