Hadassah Seeks Hospital Supplies for Palestine, St. Paul Pioneer Press, Apr. 4, 1948.

Hadassah Medical Center LogoDue to the urgent need for Red Cross hospital supplies in Palestine admission to the annual linen shower of the St. Paul Chapter of Hadassah, Monday, April 12 at 12-30 p. m. in the Jewish Educational center, will be by some vital hospital linen item.

Mmes. Joseph Bordon and M. A. Spizman, hospital supplies co-chairman for St. Paul, ask that the minimum of the cost of a Red Cross first aid kit be donated by women who do not bring linen essentials to the luncheon meeting.

Needed are bandages, sheets, pillows, pillow cases, blankets, Turkish, face and dish towels, unbleached muslin, bath robes, pajamas, and night robes for men, women and children, and infants’ layettes. Hadassah services 100 institutions, Mrs. Spizman said. These include emergency hospitals, welfare orphanages, home for the aged, the blind and the insane, youth hostels, infant welfare stations and immigrant camps. Hadassah also supplies the armored hospital mobile units.

Mrs. L. C. Perlman is luncheon chairman.
