The Arabs, led by Abu Supin, forbid Jews from entering the grave of the prophet Samuel.

The Jews used to celebrate the Shavuot festival every year there since the Crusaders time.
However it seems that Jews continue to pilgrim to the grave a few years later after paying a tribute to the governor.
